'America's Got Talent' Season 15: Indian duo Bad Salsa wows with high-speed routine, fans just can't look away
'America's Got Talent' premiered with its auditions rounds and made good on its promise to deliver an even bigger, better show than it ever has.
Following the opening act that featured some country pigs performing some big city tricks, we were introduced to 'Bad Salsa', a Mumbai-based duo featuring 20-year-old Sardar and 15-year-old Sonali, both students of Bivash at The Best Dance Company (hence, the 'Bad' in 'Bad Salsa') back in India who himself has performed and competed on shows along with Sonali.
Sonali, no stranger to the show or its format, has already won 'India's Got Talent' series four in 2012 at just 7 years old, while Sardar was a semi-finalist in series six and seven. The duo also competed on the British version of the show but lost their chance at being in the finals to Kseniya Simonova, who received the Golden Buzzer from Amanda, and Bello and Annaliese Nock who were voted through.
Bad Salsa is already a fan-favorite thanks to their high-speed routine in the premiere, which combined the Latin dance form with Bollywood music.
One viewer tweeted, "#AGTPremiere@badsalsa WOW AMAZING DANCERS," another said, "BAD SALSA WAS VERY COOL. COULD NOT LOOK AWAY," and one shared, "THAT WAS CRAZYYYYYYY But we can turn that Bad Salsa into Good Salsa. BECAUSE IT IS REALLY GOOD!!!! #AGT #AGTPremiere."
One viewer stated, "I'm not usually into most of dancing acts on #AGT but that BADSalsa was impressive," another said, "Got to say that Bad Salsa Group on #AmericasGotTalent did an amazing job. That dance looked like some kind of routine Cirque Du Soleil would do for one of their acts!" and one viewer tweeted, "The BAD Salsa is on fire. Amazing performance and energetic sync. They have such an awesome telepathic understanding and their moves are so dope and fast. I love the Bad Salsa already; they are a very GOOD Bad Salsa."
And one long time fan of the show shared, "One thing #AGT had shown us over the years is that there are some incredibly talented people outside of America especially in India those “BAD salsa” dancers were incredible!"
