Earlier this week, it was announced that Adele is going to host ‘Saturday Night Live’ (SNL) Season 46’s latest episode, and it triggered much excitement among her fans. The singer has appeared as a musical guest in the show in the past, but this will be her first time helming hosting duties. And the musical guest for the episode is musician HER.

‘SNL’ has been teasing everyone about Adele’s hosting via social media. They posted a photo of her from the table read, followed by a teaser that featured Adele, HER and ‘SNL’ cast member Kate McKinnon goofing around about who is hosting the show — the singer looks amazing after her weight loss. There was another 15-second video released with glimpses from Adele’s past performances in the show.

Adele has been in the news this year for many reasons. But fans were surprised, when in May, as reported, the singer shared a picture of her wearing an LBD (little black dress) and captioned it with a heartwarming note, thanking first responders and essential workers who have been working tirelessly to ensure everyone is safe from the Covid-19 crisis. She wrote: “Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time. I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels. 2020 okay bye thanks.” She looked glowing as she posed for the photograph, leaving fans in awe of her weight loss.

However, Adele’s friend, comedian Alan Carr, felt people give too much attention to her weight loss than her wonderful work as a singer. As reported by Insider, Carr in a recent interview on the British morning show 'Lorraine' said, “With Adele, you've sort of missed the point if you're just worried about what size knickers she wears. 'Cause it's the voice. It's that inspirational, awesome voice.” He said this when he was asked to comment on buzz around Adele’s weight loss.

On the personal front, like any celebrity, Adele’s dating life also remains in the spotlight – with speculations and dating rumors floating. In 2019, as reported by Associated Press (AP), Adele and her husband, Simon Konecki, announced that they were separating. The singer’s representatives, Benny Tarantini and Carl Fysh, confirmed the news in a statement to AP. “Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment,” the emailed statement said.  In 2012, Adele had given birth to their son Angelo.

There were rumors going around that she might be dating rapper Skepta. However, a source close to the singer revealed to Hollywood Life that, “perfectly happy being single”. The source added, “She doesn’t need a man to be happy. Right now, her focus is on being a mom and on her music.” Meanwhile, after the announcement of her hosting, ‘SNL’, fans have begun to speculate the release date of the unannounced fourth studio album of the British singer-songwriter who had four #1 Billboard Hot 100 hits between 2010 and 2015. However, the singer hasn’t confirmed anything yet. Until then, fans can catch ‘SNL’ and hope to see her surprise us with a performance on the show as well.
