Adam Byrd: Texas man, 23, fatally shoots GF Jade Alyssa Alvarez, 22, after she refused to have his baby
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS: A San Antonio man has been accused of fatally shooting his 22-year-old girlfriend after she told him she did not want to have his baby. Adam Byrd, 23, shot Jade Alyssa Alvarez dead just days after he robbed a store at gunpoint, an arrest affidavit reportedly stated.
Alvarez’s dead body was found with several gunshot wounds on April 6 on Capitol Avenue at around 6:30 am, KSAT reported. A woman who had been with the victim the night before her murder confirmed to cops that Alvarez was dating Bryd. Bryd was reportedly talking to Alvarez on the woman's phone and demanded that she be dropped off on Capitol Avenue. Hours later, she was found dead.

Adam Byrd confessed to killing Jade Alyssa Alvarez
At the time of Bryd's arrest, he already had an active Bexar County arrest warrant for two counts of aggravated robbery from the stick up. This incident took place earlier in the month. Bryd confessed to murdering Alvarez after he was taken into custody and questioned about the robbery. He said that before the murder, they had an argument over how she did not want to have a child with him, but he did. Bryd even admitted to using the same gun to murder her that he used during the robbery.

A Facebook user who appears to have known Alvarez wrote about her, "Jade Alyssa Alvarez, you will be truly missed by everyone. Your smile was so contagious and welcoming. Losing you will be felt for many years to come. Knowing that you are now with our Heavenly Father brings comfort to our heart."
The Facebook post reads, "Our Jade has gone to the angels above. Where there's nothing but happiness, joy and love. Gone from this world, so full of strife. Back to the God who gave her life. But rejoice that God chose our sweet flower for His own, And has taken her back to His Heavenly home."
