CHIPPEWA FALLS, WISCONSIN: The father of the 14-year-old boy who murdered Wisconsin's Lily Peters is reportedly a convicted pedophile. The man identified as Adam Berger, 37, spent three years in jail after being found with pornographic images of prepubescent girls on his phone.

Berger's son, formally identified only with the initials CP-B, 14, is now facing a possible life sentence, Daily Mail reported identifying CP-B as Carson Peters-Berger. The police is yet to reveal the teen's identity or name. The teen has been charged with three counts over Peters' death -- first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree sexual assault and first-degree sexual assault of a child. He reportedly strangled her and sexually assaulted her.

Who is Troy Driver? Man, 41, arrested in Naomi Irion case had MURDERED drug dealer

"He punched the victim in the stomach, knocked her to the ground, essentially strangled her, hit her with a stick, before strangling her to the point of death — before he then sexually assaulted her,” Chippewa County District Attorney Wade Newell said in a statement. While Peters' remains were taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office in Minnesota for additional forensic testing, a final autopsy report may not be available for another six weeks.

The 10-year-old girl's body was found close to the home of an aunt she had been visiting when she went missing, in a woodland near Chippewa Falls, northeast of Eau Claire on Monday morning, April 25. Her cousin, CP-B, appeared in court via a Zoom link along with his attorneys from a juvenile detention center where he is being held. The court heard how he intended to "break and kill the victim from the start as he left the house and walked down the street with her."

Judge Benjamin Lane set the suspect's bond at $1 million. He has been banned from any contact with minors. Attorneys for the teen suspect requested $100,000 cash bond, arguing he is not a flight risk due to him being too young to drive.

Amid the gruesome killing, interest in Peters and her cousin's family has grown and the criminal records of CP-B's family only make the story more murkier.

Who is Adam Berger?

Charging documents revealed that Berger was caught with 10 pornographic images of young girls in spread-legged positions on his phone. Some of the photos had been doctored to include comments like 'first in ur little girls a***ole and then in ur mouth mom.' Some of the pictures showed Berger's own face was superimposed on some. Other pictures showed semi-dressed children, with one of them in a green feather boa and black high heels and another in a pink tutu skirt. Court papers said that all the pictures focused on the children's genitalia. Berger also had drug paraphernalia including four crack pipes in his home.

Berger was jailed in May 2018. The teen killer's grandmother said that the boy has been unhappy since and was never seen smiling. Berger is still on supervised probation and is on the sex offender registry. In a letter, he described his son as being 'the best of me'. The teen suspect in Peters' killing is the son of Lauri Davis, 45, and Berger. The two had a brief relationship. Davis is now in a relationship with convicted fraudster John Repetto, 50. She lives in the Chippewa Falls home where Peters was last seen with her killer before she went missing. Davis is the sister of Peters' father Alex Peters, 43, which makes CP-B the slain girl's cousin.

Davis had reportedly called cops in 2017, accusing Berger of driving his car at her, before Berger was convicted of child porn offenses. At the time, Berger's son, 8, was also inside the vehicle. The attack allegedly left Davis injured after she rolled off the hood and ended up on the ground. While in jail, Berger constantly kept in touch with his son. He spoke to him regularly and even mailed him a crochet blanket he had made in prison.

Davis also has multiple convictions for drug offenses spanning at least two years before her son was born. She was arrested in 2005 for domestic battery in after an altercation with her then-husband John Davis. On the other hand, Peters' mother Jennifer Eyerly, 38, is currently on probation after being convicted of multiple counts of theft. She even racked up a bill totaling $7,788.31 after swiping four of her mother's credit cards. Eyerly cheated her aunt and uncle out of $10,000 by inventing fake jobs for them.
