'Stumptown' Episode 11 sees Dex confront her disturbing past while Miles and Grey play 'Cagney & Lacey'

Dex is hired by Sue to help a veteran find his family and this will trigger memories in Dex as she faces her past

While Grey McConnell (Jake Johnson), Dex (Cobie Smulders) and Miles' (Michael Ealy) titular love triangle was dragged until recently since the inception of the show, 'Stumptown' is now steering clear of the complicated trio and leaning towards a weirdly comforting relationship between the duo, who love to hate each other.

In the previous episode of 'Stumptown', the other men in Dex's life come together to track down carjackers, using the skills they've mastered over the years. Although for Miles it was more of an order from his senior to find the Captain's abducted wife, Grey was almost blackmailed into joining hands with Miles, as he owed the latter for helping him evade jail time.

Grey at first wasn't willing to revisit his criminal past or even be associated with it. However, when he plays an undercover to help Miles in his investigation, it seems like he enjoyed the brief moment of adventure, stepping aside from his role as a bar owner.

In the preview of the upcoming episode, on learning about Grey and Miles' professional stint, Dex asks if they have now become the new 'Cagney and Lacey'. Grey is also seen accepting it as he's secretly enjoying the job himself.

Meanwhile, Dex is hired by Sue to help a veteran find his family. The investigation will sure trigger certain memories in Dex as she has to come face-face-face with her disturbing past.

In 'The Past And The Furious' as the love triangle takes a backseat, we'll get to explore the characters individually.

Now that Ansel has moved out, and Grey and Miles are busy with their duties, Dex is all by herself, just the way she wished to be. However, it remains to be seen if the preferred isolation will help Dex fight her issues more efficiently or take her further down the spiral of destruction.

It's also going to be interesting to watch how Miles and Grey would function together, considering their complicated relationship with Dex.
