Viral cat looks like Baby Yoda from 'The Mandalorian'? No, it's more like Dobby from 'Harry Potter', say fans

'The Mandalorian's Baby Yoda has emerged as the breakout star of the year. Its cuteness is just too much for fans, who are now eagerly waiting for the merchandise to hit the stores. The 'baby' has inspired many memes, fan art and people are in love with the little creature. In this respect, ABC news is under fire from fans, for claiming that a viral kitten that they found, looks like Baby Yoda.
On December 25, ABC News shared a story about a kitten who apparently bore resemblance to Baby Yoda. According to the news site, the kitten made headlines after a vet assistant named Jana Aviles posted a photo of the kitten at Cabarrus Animal Hospital in Kannapolis, North Carolina earlier this month. The kitten had been rescued after being found as an injured stray. The cat's unusual features -- including very large ears -- earned it the nickname "Yoda cat".
However, irate fans claim that there are no similarities between the two. One fan replied to ABC's Twitter post, "They don't look remotely similar," while another tweeted, "The cat looks nothing like the muffet." Other fans noted that the only similarities between the two, are the large eyes and 'ears'.
Instead, another noted that it looks Dobby, the House Elf from the 'Harry Potter' series. One fan even commented saying that such an idea was 'blasphemous'. "I actually find it offensive that someone thinks he looks like baby yoda. Blasphemous."
"The kitten looks nothing like Yoda Skywalker," tweeted another.
All ire aside, fans just hoped that the kitten was safe and sound now.
The other day, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that Baby Yoda had a real name and it will be revealed 'soon'. "People really wanted to know, what's its name?" Iger said. "I know its real name, and it is one of the reasons I've got all this extra security now. I don't want to be given some kind of truth serum by someone."
Iger added that he had made the mistake of using the name, 'Baby Yoda', in emails to series creator Jon Favreau and "got his wrists slapped many times".
