One of TV's most highly anticipated moments came true today as ‘Modern Family’ Season 11 finally concluded and graced our screens for one last time. Viewers looked forward to watching the finale for multiple reasons.

While for some it was about bidding goodbye to the decade-old hit sitcom, the ones with a different opinion waited with bated breath to see what sort of conclusion would be given to each of the characters.

'Modern Family' Season 11 did not go out of its way to achieve a great ending and stayed true to its form with barely any twist to offer several special moments that are guaranteed to remain intact in fans' memories for years.

However, it seems like for those with high expectations, the finale didn’t sit very well. Although the ending is subject to fair debate, a few fans on Twitter have called out the series for disappointing them with a rather ordinary ending.

While one of the fans noted how the 'Modern Family' Season 11 finale has "had me a wreck", another irked fan added, "#ModernFamily is finally over? Good. Second-rate show that should have ended six years ago. Disappointing ending."

"Wow super cringey. Can't believe how far this show fell from first few seasons," one fan noted.

A few of them even said that 'A Modern Farewell', a one-hour documentary on the series that preceded the finale, was better than the final two episodes.

"I didn't think I'd want to watch the #ModernFamily. behind the scenes footage but here I am and loving every minute of it," said one fan. Another added, "Crying watching this documentary. I'm gonna miss this so much."

However, the majority of them are trying to come to terms with the fact that 'Modern Family' is actually over after witnessing a highly emotional ending.

One fan who thoroughly enjoyed the season finale tweeted, "What a beautiful ending to one of my favorite tv shows of all time...even when I was crying, they still managed to make me laugh."

"If my eyes are swollen on any zoom calls for the next week, it'll undoubtedly be because I will still be getting over the end of #ModernFamily," wrote another fan.
