A newborn baby girl abandoned and wrapped in a plastic bag was discovered by a woman and her son in an east London park after they heard her "crying for her life."
Shortly after 10 pm Thursday night, when temperatures were sub-zero, the duo found the little baby, said to be less than an hour old, next to a bench in Newham, Daily Mail reports.
As of now, nurses caring for the baby are calling her "Roman", after Roman Road, where she was reportedly found placed inside a Sainsbury's bag and wrapped in a towel. Police have appealed for help in tracking down the mother while the baby is recovering in a hospital from her life-threatening ordeal.
