What is the plot of 'A Vampire in the Family'?
Fernandinho leads a contented life -- an ex-soccer player, he now has a commentary podcast and things seem steady until his brother-in-law Gregorio shows up at his doorstep. An unexpected visit from an in-law may seem like a nightmare to most but in Fernandinho's case it literally turns out to be the stuff of nightmares when he finds out that Gregorio is a vampire hell-bent on world domination, if he can find the time to get off his lazy ass that is.
'A Vampire in the Family' cast
Leandro Hassum
Comedian and actor Hassum is a staple of Brazilian screens with roles that have included Genésio de Souza in the series 'Chapa Quente' and as Tino Peixoto in the Brazilian hit movie franchise 'Till Luck Do Us Part'. He can next be seen in his own reality show 'Os Hassums' which follows Hassum and his family as they travel across America in a motorhome (what could possibly go wrong).
Romulo Arantes Neto
The dashing Brazilian actor is best known for playing Telê in the series 'The Mutants: Ways of the Heart', but he really made his mark as Robertão in the excellent series 'Empire' (not to be confused with the US series of the same name). He sometimes drops the Aranto and is credited as Romula Neto as he is in the upcoming movie 'Can't Be Undone'.
Is 'A Vampire in the Family' worth watching?
Anything featuring a vampire should be taken with a pinch of salt these days as they tend to be weepy lovelorn saps, but 'A Vampire in the Family' does have an interesting premise, and with Hassum's amazing comedic pedigree you can be guaranteed the laughs. So yes, it is worth watching.
