‘A Teacher’ Episode 6: Who will find out about Claire's affair? Here's what happens if Kathryn files a complaint
Spoilers for ‘A Teacher’
Do not tell secrets to those whose faith and silence you have not already tested. If only Claire Wilson (Kate Mara) would have thought about these words. The last episode ended with a major shocker as Claire Wilson (Kate Mara) slipped out who is the "man" (or boy) she's hooking up with after her secret trip with her student Eric Walker (Nick Robinson).
Who did she tell that confidential piece of information to? None other than Kathryn Sanders (Marielle Scott) — the carefree and funny French teacher at Westbrook High who became Claire's closest friend at work. Turns out she wasn't as carefree as she posed herself to be. No sooner did Claire reveal who the guy was, Kathryn was shocked. In utter disbelief, she accused her of grooming and using her position as a teacher to have a physical relationship with a student.
Kathryn even makes it clear that she will have to file a complaint. If and when Kathryn decides to do so, what will be the consequences? The official summary of the next episode reads: "As Claire’s world begins to crumble, an uncertain Eric is pressed to reveal intimate details of his relationship."
So who all will find out about the affair? It's clear that Claire's husband Matt Nicholas (Ashley Zukerman) will find out sooner or later. Will Claire confess herself or will he get to know from a third party? Will cops come to arrest her and will they investigate Eric and his mother Sandy Walker (Rya Ingrid Kihlstedt)? How will Eric's mother react and will his life be turned upside down?
Written by Andrew Neel and directed by Gillian Robespierre, the sixth episode may finally show her being arrested or investigated. One fan said, "And that's it. These episodes are so short. But it looks like next week it will all come out," and another posted, "This show is so disturbing and IDK why I’m watching it even but I’m invested now so might as well watch it until she gets busted." A third chimed in, "I can’t feel bad for what happens next in A Teacher. Claire literally told another teacher. WHAT DID SHE THINK WAS GONNA HAPPEN. This is why you don’t drink tequila and have secrets smh." Do you think she should end up behind the bars? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
