'A Piece of Your Mind' Episode 8: Ha Won tries hard to move on from Ji Soo but can Seo-woo do the same?
'A Piece of Your Mind' Episode 8 sees Ha Won (Jung Hae-in) figure out that the reason he was able to sleep peacefully one night was because of Seo-woo's (Chae Soo-bin) presence. In an attempt to figure this out, he tries different methods and that includes Ha Won tiring himself out to find out if he can sleep through the night because of all of it. He tries to use the couch instead of the bed, but nothing works. So, when he realizes what allowed him to sleep peacefully, he just asks Seo-woo to stay with him overnight.
He realizes that he has begun to move on and has also found a way to forgive himself and holding onto Seo-woo has helped him come this far. That, in a way, also inspires him to come up with a new way to help patients seeking psychiatric help. He wants to comfort them by finding a way to make them feel as if someone is holding onto them. The way that Seo-woo held onto him and with the latest patient that his company is experimenting with the device, he finds a way.
He also finds a way to get Seo-woo to be by his side to help him sleep and as the two of them meet over time, the awkwardness between them begins to fall behind and all that is left is comfort and possibly the beginning of love. This in-between space lends the episode a feeling of being wrapped in the warmth of new love and just as Ha Won and Seo-woo's relationship progresses, their understanding of each other gets better too. By the end of it, Ha Won even begins to reveal a bit about his past, including the time when he had to leave Oslo because he wants her to understand the seriousness of his insomnia.
For him to be able to sleep a few hours is rewarding but to be able to sleep through the night is a miracle. Ha Won and Seo-woo's relationship might have begun unexpectedly and in a way that neither would have expected it to take a romantic turn. Now that it has though, it is clear that both of them want to give this a try and see where it takes them. However, as hard as Ha Won is trying to get over Ji Soo, it seems as if Seo-woo is getting more obsessed about her. To the extent that she has stolen the Ji Soo device from Ha Won's home. Will she be able to move past Ji Soo or was Ha Won's one-sided love for Ji Soo the reason why Seo-woo fell for him?
