How long does it take to move on after the death of a loved one? Is there a set amount of time or does it get easier with time as people say? Grief is subjective and there is a very thin line between grief and obsession and in this episode of 'A Piece of Your Mind,' we see Ha Won (Jung Hae-in) struggle to balance between the grief he feels for Ji-soo (Park Joo Hyun) and his obsession with having at least a part of her with himself. He has been using Ji-soo's AI version to help him overcome the loss but recently, he has been adamant about finding why Ji-soo went to Norway in the first place.

Seo-woo (Chae Soo-bin) who had confessed her love to Ha Won in the previous episode tells him to not broach the topic of her liking him because she is embarrassed and yet she continues to do things for his good which includes getting Ha Won the one chance he needs to speak to Ji-soo. So far, the AI version had refused to speak to him and would only converse with Seo-woo or when Seo-woo was present. So when she gets him a chance to speak to Ji-soo one final time, she is hoping for closure and a way to help him with his grief.

Instead, he ends up getting curious about why Ji-soo would sell the dishes and why she would go to Norway among other things.  Seo-woo knows that Ji-soo was guilty about a mistake that her husband had committed which had affected Ha Won. Ji-soo had only found out and the guilt has been the reason that she was in misery all this while. After watching Ha Won torture himself over why Ji-soo would do something such as this and if he was the reason why she had left the country, Seo-woo tells him the things that she knows.

She also tells him that it is time for him to give up on Ji-soo because there really is a zero percent chance that he will get to be with her. She doesn't exist in this world anymore and that is something that Ha Won must comprehend if at all he hopes to deal with the grief in a healthy way.  She also compares him with herself because essentially both of them like their ideal person by themselves. She says at least she has more chance to succeed in her love than him because the man that she likes is actually alive. Yes, she is speaking of Ha Won here, but there is no other way that Seo-woo is able to convince him, so she also tells him that she will give up on him because 1 percent is just not good enough and she hopes that he would give up on his one-sided love affair as well.

This makes a dent in Ha Won's thinking and that is when he decides to let Ji-soo rest in peace and he becomes the first patient to successfully use his own technology in getting treatment for grief, however, he came along this way only because of Seo-woo's help so it would be intriguing to see how their relationship will now progress considering she claims that she has given up on him.

New episodes of 'A Piece of Mind', or also known as 'Half of a Half' will drop on tvN on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9 pm KST.
