A peek inside Trump's opulent, luxurious and flamboyant Mar-a-Lago
Here is a glimpse of Trump's beautiful Mar-a-Lago property which he uses as a family getaway
US President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home in Florida is just beyond beautiful and is a luxury getaway for him and the First Family. Mar-a-Lago is also a business as well as private spa and club which makes Trump tons of money and profit. The property in Palm Beach is extravagant and boasts of wealth and money in all corners.
Trump purchased this sprawling property back in the year 1985 when it was worth $10 million. Its current estimated worth is between $200 million and $300 million. The luxury resort was built at a cost of $7 million (given inflation, that's roughly equivalent to $93.5 million today) from 1924 to 1927 by cereal-company heiress and socialite Marjorie Merriweather Post — she was America's richest woman at the time.
The property eventually went on to become a National Historic Landmark. When Post passed away, she decided to leave the beautiful property to the federal government as a summer getaway for Presidents. However, due to its high maintenance, the government returned the property to Post's daughters. They did not want it either and sold it to Trump for less than $10 million.

An overview of the sprawling property
Trump has described the Mar-a-Lago property as the Winter White House. The mansion sits on 20 acres sprawling across the island from the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway. Mar-a-Lago is also a business — over the years, the Mar-a-Lago Club has become one of the most impressive and exclusive private clubs, made even more glamorous by The Trump Organization. The property now generates more than $15 million a year in revenue. Trump keeps a section of Mar-a-Lago private, for the use of his family.
A glimpse into what the house looks like!
The Florida property is opulent in the extreme — it’s been compared to the Palace of Versailles by the New York Times. The comparison is apt. Sumptuous appointments framed by rivers of marble, carved stone, and gold leaf, 126 rooms on 17 acres bound by the Atlantic and Intracoastal waterway, liberally graced with glittering chandeliers, oriental rugs, and 16th century Flemish tapestries — this is a lifestyle that makes a statement, according to Forbes.

The room’s molding and murals are adaptations of the Chigi Palace in Rome. Post kept a notebook with photos of her nearly 30 china patterns, crystal and silverware. Some of the pieces were still in use in 1995, when Trump opened the Mar-a-Lago Club.
