Spoilers ahead for Season 2 Episode 1 of 'A Million Little Things' on ABC

Katherine (Grace Park) deserves so much better than Eddie (David Giuntoli).

In the Season 1 finale, we saw that Eddie and Katherine decided to give their relationship another chance. And so despite knowing for sure that Katherine deserves better, we were hoping that the two repair their relationship for themselves and for Theo (Tristan Byon). But the very first scene of Season 2 was of Eddie coming clean about Delilah's (Stéphanie Szostak) baby leaving Katherine completely heartbroken.

At this point, anything that Eddie says or promises to Katherine feels like empty words. Even though all he was doing was coming clean and approaching their relationship with honesty, it is an impossible situation for Katherine, who shouldn't have to deal with it.

"Katherine has been suffering alone by herself since S1. When she found out that her husband had an affair, she was alone. And now when Katherine knows the baby is Eddie's and she was broken, she also suffers alone," laments a fan.

Once Eddie is no longer home, Katherine spends some time with Theo hoping to get her mind away from the situation, but it feels like she is unable to. Later the day, she tearfully leaves Theo behind. And was gone for two days before her mother contacted Eddie via her phone. Was this the best way that she could have handled the situation - leaving Theo behind with Eddie responsible - we think not. But a broken heart can rarely think with clarity. And fans found it off too - "It was a little bit messy when Katherine went out from the door leaving Theo watching a movie while waiting for his dad and then it was cut out like that. And all of sudden she has left for 2 days like," tweeted a fan.

We want the best for Katherine. So it feels like this might be the right time for her to walk away from this along with her son Theo and never look back. But is this how the makers will take the show forward? We wait until next week.

'A Million Little Things' airs on ABC at 9|8c.
