Spoilers ahead for Season 2 Episode 5 'Austin' of 'A Million Little Things'

The last few episodes of 'A Million Little Things' showed Gary (James Roday) and Maggie (Allison Miller) drifting apart.

It started when Maggie found out the truth about Jason Ritter's Eric. After leading audiences on for almost two episodes, Maggie's mother Patricia (Melora Hardin) revealed that Eric has her dead brother Chad's heart.

This sent Maggie into a spiral and since then, her actions are further upsetting fans. She not only lashes out at her mother but also begins distancing herself from Gary. She suddenly refuses to not let him in despite him telling her that he supports her throughout.

In the last episode, after meeting with their breast cancer support group, Gary also realizes that Maggie wishes to move past her cancer and go forward in life.

At this point, it looks like the only person Maggie is not upset with is Eric. But that is only since she feels a connection with him because of Chad's heart.

The promo released by the channel for this week's episode points at the distance between Gary and Maggie widening.

'Unleashed', which will air on October 31, shows Maggie accidentally letting Colin, Gary's dog and best friend, out when she in on a call.

Gary returns home to find out that Colin is not in the house. Both of them leave to find Colin.

In another scene, Gina is seen pacifying Maggie telling her that they will get through this together. But Maggie knows that if Colin is not found, they might not move past it.

Eddie is shown asking Gary if things between Maggie and him are OK, but Gary is shown only frustrated.

James Roday's Gary is a fan-favorite character. So much so that fans would rather see them break up than continue with Maggie's attitude.

"Maggie needs to kick rocks. Doesn't she realize the man she loved went through chemo, cancer, and a loss as well?!" pointed out a fan.

"Maggie starts pissing my nerve! Gary doesn't deserve her attitude! He was perfect when she was one step close to death, but now, he's not anymore!" said another.

What happens to Gary and Maggie will be revealed in the next episode. Gary feels a disconnect with his lover, and by extension, his fans feel a disconnect with Maggie as well.  'A Million Little Things' airs on Thursdays at 9|8c on ABC.
