Spoilers for 'A Million Little Things' Season 2 Episode 18 'Mothers and Daughters'

Fans were demanding it for the longest time and it looks like it is finally happening. Gary Mendez (James Roday) has probably found himself a brand new love interest in Darcy (Floriana Lima). After a tough break up, Maggie Bloom (Allison Miller) and Gary found themselves feeling lost, for different reasons altogether. But if the last couple of episodes are any indication, the two will soon be moving on to new horizons, with Maggie readying to leave for England.

Speaking of new horizons, Rome Howard (Romany Malco) is suddenly gripped with fear. At the car dealership where he is getting a new SUV, Rome is struck with doubt — what if he isn't a good enough father, what if the version on the adoption tape was him a one-off thing? For the longest time, all Rome wanted to do was be a father. If his rapport with children (and teenager) is any proof, then Rome is going to an excellent father.

Elsewhere, Eddie Saville (David Giuntoli) becomes obsessed with wanting to figure out what really happened at the lakehouse. Now that Katherine (Grace Park) and he are getting ready to renew their wedding vows, Eddie wants to ensure that this is their fresh start and that he won't be messing up their relationship anymore. In addition to that, their marriage had only just found some stability, especially with their son Theo (Tristan Byon).

He begins blaming his sister Lindsay (Sprague Grayden) for showing up with this sudden new information. On their way to the lakehouse, Eddie is desperate to figure out how Alex died 20 years ago and what role he had in her death.

We reckon this newly-introduced mystery adds a layer to Eddie's character. He may not consciously remember it, but perhaps Alex's death (and how it happened) is a part of Eddie's repressed memories. It could also be the reason Eddie and his sister Lindsay (used to) rely on substance.

But with only one episode to go for the conclusion of Season 2, how much are we going to find out?

'A Million Little Things' airs on Thursdays at 10/ 9c on ABC.
