British tourist, 32, sexually assaulted in taxi on Greek holiday by man she met in a bar
RHODE, GREECE: A 32-year-old Brit woman was sexually assaulted by a man she met in a bar in Greece. She was assaulted in the back of a taxi. According to the reports the woman met the suspect at a bar in Lindos, Rhodes, and was attacked at around 1.30 am on Wednesday, Sept 21.
The man attacked her in the backseat when they left together and was were headed towards her hotel in Pefkos. The woman said that the suspect put his hands down her shorts and touched her inappropriately in the horryifying assault. She informed the police from the First Directorate of the Dodecanese immediately before she was examined by a medical officer.

According to The Sun, the woman was on a holiday in Rhode, Greece when this terrifying incident happened. Locals attacking tourists is not new as they make for easy targets. Police are now on the look out for the taxi driver who witnessed the attack so he can provide a statement of proof to verify the tourist's version of events. Currently a case has been filed against the unnamed attacker by the Rhodes Prosecutor's office.
Recently in August, a similar incident happened in Greece, when a 24-year-old Brit woman was raped. The 26-year-old culprit was arrested in the Akti-Vonitsa region in the west of the country. The woman claimed that she was forced to participate in sexual acts close to a bar in Paleros.The culprit had been charged with rape.
In July, another similar incident happened where a British tourist was allegedly raped by a wealthy American holidaymaker on the popular Greek holiday island of Mykonos. The woman's identity was not revealed for legal issues but she lived in Preston, Lancashire. She told the cops that the man was 30 years old and told her he usually lived in one of New York's upmarket suburbs. The victim told the cops that the duo met in a shop on the island before he took her to the toilet of the hotel she was staying and raped her. In June, another Brit woman was attacked while holidaying in Crete and she accused the police of letting the rapist "roam free" after they wrongly charged her own father with the attack.
