'9-1-1 Lone Star' Episode 4: Owen and Michelle race against time to save people from a natural calamity
Spoiler alert for '9-1-1 Lone Star'
"Daddy, I'm scared," a terrified young girl says in the promo for the upcoming episode of FOX's '9-1-1 Lone Star'. "You'll be safe here. I'll protect you, I promise," her father reassures her. And at that very moment, the roof of their house flies off!
The episode, titled 'Act of God' gives the ominous warning of a natural disaster, a tornado.
High wind speed, tempestuous rainfall, property damage, wreckage and loss of life, complete pandemonium — the tornado threatens to destroy the lives of those in Austin, Texas. Owen Strand (Rob Lowe) and Michelle Blake (Liv Tyler) must lead their teams to rescue those threatened by the natural calamity.
As much as we had expected the show to give us more of Michelle's hunt for her sister, it looks like that will take a backseat in the upcoming episode. Michelle uncovers new clues regarding her sister Iris' disappearance and it is Owen who encourages her to find different ways to unearth new clues and evidence.
In the previous episode, she (kind of) made amends with Iris' boyfriend Dustin Shepard (Jon Foster), which could be indicative of the fact that they might work together to find what happened to Iris. Meanwhile, Owen is still trying to figure out life with cancer.
Fans are appreciating that the series is taking inspiration from its parent show. "I love '9-1-1 Lone Star'. It's just as good as the original! It's time for another natural disaster, a tornado is coming! I'm wishing for a crossover soon!!!" said an excited fan.
"'9-1-1' gave us an earthquake and a tsunami. '9-1-1 Lone Star' is giving us a tornado. Question is which one will give us a wildfire?" said another. "I couldn't be more excited for this show!" chimed in another fan.
'9-1-1 Lone Star' airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET/ PT on FOX.
