Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh have been together for many years, but their relationship has not been able to go any further. Sumit had been dealing with his divorce and made it clear that there won't be any marriage until he had finalized it. Luckily for them, that chapter of his life came to an end when Sumit found out that his divorce was finalized.
With his past marriage out of the picture, Sumit was now looking forward to marrying Jenny. However, before making that happen, the pair decided to have a ring ceremony that would confirm to the world that they are together. One thing that was holding Sumit back was his parents.
Sumit met his parents before and had made it clear that he would marry Jenny. However, they were not happy with the idea of seeing their son spend life with an older woman. Sumit's parents made it clear that Jenny would not be welcomed into the family even if they were to go through with the wedding.
However, after waiting for a long time, Sumit decided it was time to take things into his hand. In the preview for the upcoming episode, Sumit decided to meet his brother Anik Singh and his wife. Sumit had previously spoken to his brother and opened up about how much he loved Jenny.
Anil had met the pair when they moved in together and tried to warn him how things could become worse if they were to go against his parents and society. Despite this, Sumit decided to break the news that he and Jenny were about to get engaged in a ring ceremony, and they were not going to inform his parents.
Hearing this, Sumit's brother and sister-in-law were shocked. He warned Sumit to be ready for the consequences. At this point, Jenny broke down crying as she felt helpless. Jenny admitted that she couldn't do anything about her age and would love to be accepted for who she was.
