Alina Kozhevnikova ‘90 Day Fiancé’ star, has been fired from the show by TLC over her racist social media posts. Her statements on social media, posted in the past, began circulating earlier this month. The network reportedly stopped filming with her as of Wednesday morning, January 26.

“TLC discontinued filming with Alina Kozhevnikova following the recent discovery of her past social media statements,” stated the network’s spokesperson. “She will not appear on the upcoming Tell All, any future seasons of the franchise, and starting next month, she will no longer appear on 'Before the 90 Days'. Twitter witnessed a massive backlash against the reality star after Kozhevnikova's old posts resurfaced. Her subsequent swift exit from the show was first reported by TMZ. Some of the social media backlash however sadly came from trolls who used offensive terms to condemn Kozhevnikova. "F*** all you mo**'s saying I shouldn't say anything against her troll, midget ass!! GOOD RIDDANCE!! I'm glad TLC fired her!" one user wrote. Another user wrote, "God dammit, Alina! I was really rooting for your spunky short a** & then you had to clown hard w/ this bul*****. I'm telling y'all, some of my White sisters & brothers can't help themselves w/ this foolishness." Others called out her racism in strong terms, like one former fan who wrote: "These anti Black, vile, racist immigrants are allowed in America along with their history of racism. Another example, why immigration doesn’t help Black Americans."

Alina Kozevhnikova's racist posts

Kozhevnikova first appeared on the fifth season of '90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days' along with Caleb Greenwood, her husband-to-be. Her offensive social media posts are from 2014 and 2015. A screenshot shared on Twitter is full of racial slurs and stereotypes, with the n-word having been used as many as eight times. In the post, she seems to be describing a party in her native Russia. "Alina Kozhevnikova from #90DayFiance #90dayfiancé claims because she's Russian, that she didn't realize it was racist. What do you think?" a user wrote, sharing the screenshot.

In a screenshot of an Instagram post, Kozhevnikova used the n-word yet again, replacing the Gs with Qs. The post shows her wearing a bandana and a drawn-on beard. She refers to “gold diggin’” and “gangstas" in the caption. There are other offensive posts in Muslim and Asian people.

In a recent Instagram post, Kozhevnikova seemed to defend herself amid the ongoing controversy. "Despite what’s being said about me, my friends, family and those who met me in person know who I really am & who I am not. And I know it too," she wrote, sharing a picture of herself, with a promise stating, "the answers are coming".

Jennie Nguyen was also fired from 'The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' recently for her old racist social media posts. She has now  come up with an explanation. According to Jennie Nguyen, 44, her then social media team shared the offensive posts in 2020 on one of her non-verified personal Facebook pages that existed before she was a part of the RHOSLC show.

While talking about the posts then, many of those posts mocked the Black Lives Matter movement and protesters in the wake of the killing of George Floyd, and contained phrases like 'BLM Thugs' and 'Violent Gangs' For an explanation to these posts the star said, "I just want you to understand that, during that time, I had a team of people that were helping me out. Whether they posted or I posted, it doesn't really matter at this point. For me, it's on my account and I take full responsibility and accountability for what is posted." Moreover, Jennie called those posts disgusting emphasizing herself being a proud republican and sharing her full support for law enforcement.

Jennie said, ' I Know I Hurt a lot of people. My viewpoint during that time in 2020 was emotional and it brings back a lot of memories during that time when we went through such a tragic, terrible year. I want you to understand my political stance, I will support that. I'm very proud to be a republican. I am proud to be able to say I have the freedom of speech, too, and to have an opinion." Michael, a Black man, was sitting beside her insisting that she is not a racist.
