Lisa and Usman had been dating for three years before the couple came on the show. Their cultural and religious differences had everyone convinced that they won't last but the pair managed to beat all the odds and even got married.

Throughout the show, viewers got to see how Lisa made all the efforts to respect Usman's religion and culture. Right from buying a goat for Usman's mother to going to a mosque for prayer, she made sure she was doing everything in her ability to step it up. Recently, she sat down for an interview with the Domenick Nati Show and shed light on her marriage with Usman and the religion she was going to follow. For anyone who has seen the show, many episodes showcased how Lisa had made sure she was respecting Islam by covering her head with a scarf.

While some people thought it was odd to see a Christian woman following Muslim traditions, Lisa shed light on how she was planning on converting to Islam. The reality star revealed she is converting to Islam and even moving to Nigeria after the lockdown is over. The reality star said the Trump government has changed laws and it was harder for Usman to come to the US. Meanwhile, she also decided to address the issue that many people had a problem with her following Muslim religious practices. Lisa revealed she had lost faith in Christianity for some time.

She recalled being pregnant and the two hours before the delivery of her daughter, who died. Lisa admitted it was hard and she had stopped believing in God after that. She admitted questioning how God could do this to her if he really existed. The reality star admitted she was struggling with her own faith and asked Usman to shed light on the Islamic culture. She said she could convert either when Usman is in the US or when she goes to Nigeria to meet him. Lisa revealed that what people got to see on television was the start of her conversion to Islam and added that she had already changed her name and now went by Fatima Lisa Umar.
