Geoffrey Paschel and Varya Malina's relationship had everyone rooted to their seats to find out what happened with the couple. Ever since Mary came into the picture, fans were drawn in to find out how the relationship would end. The show had people divided into Team Mary and Team Varya. On the other hand, Geoffrey too struggled to make a decision.
However, as the show reached a finale, he finally had an answer- it was Varya. Geoffrey chose Varya in the end and made everyone from Team Mary sad, while the others were happy. Appearing on the Domenick Nati Show, Geoffrey explained why he chose to go to Russia to find love.
Geoffrey confessed that he often went for the same type of women and it had been the reason he was deep into the problems like he is now. He further explained that he would often look for women who needed to be fixed. Geoffrey explained his statement by adding that these women were often the ones he thought just needed a shoulder to cry on and the ones that he could help.
His plan to look for someone from another country came up because he wanted something new and completely different. Geoffrey revealed that he decided to wait nearly six months to go meet Varya because he had never done anything like this. While the pair are yet to confirm their status, Geoffrey shed light on people calling him a woman beater due to his criminal allegations.
When Geoffrey first appeared on the show, people were quick to dig out his past that had domestic violence charges laid against him. Fans started questioning TLC for their lack of background check and wondered why they brought someone like this on the show. This created a lot of controversy with many asking Geoffrey's segment to be cut from the show. While the show continued with his and Varya's footage, the pair did not show up for the tell-all part 1 or 2.
Explaining his reaction to hearing people calling him a woman beater, Geoffrey stated he is a type of person who would always want others to like him and the times when he heard someone accuse him, he would personally go message them and explain what has happened. Since the two had been missing from the tell-all, fans have still been wondering if they are together.
Even though none of them broke their silence on social media, Geoffrey recently promised his fans that his contract with TLC is not over and he would be back to tell his story.
