The two met online and after talking for several months, Geoffrey decided it was finally time to go meet Varya, who stayed in the US. Varya also accepted that the awkwardness was making her question the relationship. Despite this, Geoffrey hoped that things would be fine once they sat together and spent some time with each other. To make things worse, Varya revealed that she wouldn't be staying with him as her friends suggested it would be better for her to stay with them.
This left him disappointed, but he made it clear that he would not overstep any boundaries and let Varya be comfortable. While the two struggled to make their romance and chemistry visible, fans were also finding it hard to understand their relationship.
