Avery Mills and Omar Albakkour have had their ups and downs on the show but the pair finally managed to get married. Their relationship was questioned a lot by the people around them because of their religious differences. Avery, who is a Christian had expressed her interest in converting to Islam and following Omar's religion.

Everyone around her was not pleased as they were aware of the restrictions that will be imposed on her once she changes her religion. Meanwhile, Omar lived in Syria and the thought of Avery going and living there had her mom fearing for her daughter's life. She was aware of the wars and circumstances faced by people living there but the pair managed to get married and convince her mom.

Recently, Avery took to social media to share an update with her fans about her relationship with Omar. She revealed that she and Omar were not living together. The reality star confessed that they were happily married but the circumstances made it impossible for them to stay together.

"To clarify, Omar and I are happily married, but I stay in America the majority of the time [because] I sponsor Omar’s visa so I have to keep my big girl job in America, and I’m in college," she revealed on her Instagram story. Despite this, she is hopeful that they will be back together very soon.

Ever since Avery converted to Islam, she has expressed the discrimination that she has faced. Recently, she revealed an incident that took place in Walmart and how she stood up for herself. “This happened to me at Walmart today, thankfully though those 2 people can’t do it to other people there,” she tweeted at that time, as reported by Cheatsheet. “They are right America isn’t what it used to be. You can’t blatantly be prejudice at work anymore. It’s funny now bc they will be living off of welfare with MY tax dollars.”

“I went to Walmart today and two workers were right beside me, they began talking about how America isn’t how it used to be and how Trump needs to take out the trash and looked at me,” she recalled. “I stayed out of it and just continued shopping and they assumed I didn’t speak English and so they pointed at me and say ‘do you think she can afford any of that’ and the other one said ‘maybe with her welfare check from our taxes."

She concluded her post by writing, “I called them out for it and they tried to kiss my butt and they no longer have jobs. Trump didn’t need to take out the trash bc I did.” Aside from these experiences, not having Omar has left Avery upset. Hopefully, they will get back together soon.
