Spoiler alert for '9-1-1 Lone Star' premiere night

Our story begins on a fateful night that the Texas firehouse lost the battle with a raging fire accident, culminating in the death of the entire team. Hundreds of miles away in Manhattan, New York, Owen Strang (Rob Lowe) is living his life as a firefighter and saving lives just as he has been all these years.

Owen works closely with his son, TK Strand (Ronen Rubinstein), who is also a firefighter. But after suffering heartbreak, TK tries to end his life.

A doting father, in order to save his life and get out of Manhattan, Owen must take things in his own hand. And just like that, the father-son duo moves to Austin, Texas, where Owen will be building a firefighting house from scratch like he did after the disastrous 9/11.

This crew shouldn't just be good, it needs to be the best, as Owen points out. And he sets on to find a crew of his own comprised of not just talented firefighters with prowess and talent but a passion to make a change in the world.

Fans have all kinds of reactions to the premiere episode. But most importantly, the very first accident and how it was caused. "This stupid old man didn't know not to put foil in the microwave???? I learned that when I was five," a fan shrieked in disbelief.

At the same time, fans love the cast of the series. "@911LoneStar this cast is for real," tweeted a fan. But many others have their priorities set right. "Liking the new show but there’s more commercials than show," said a fan.

Viewers have all the feels for Jim Parrack's Judd Ryder, who has not only lost his entire team of firefighters in the incident but his brothers. "He just needs some time. He went through some serious trauma," wrote a fan.

Fans are also finding the rapport between Michelle Blake (Liv Tyler) and Owen entertaining. "I like the part where they are just casually strolling and talking to each other while mans chokes to death on the ground," noted a fan.

"I already love Michelle," tweeted a fan. "She is stubborn, hard-headed, malicious and assertive. I love her," wrote another.

Fans also love the relationship between Owen and his son TK. "TK and Owen relationship is amazing," write a fan.

With the episode receiving positively by viewers, let's see what tomorrow brings. '9-1-1 Lone Star' will return on January 20 at 8-9pm ET/PT on Fox.
