Days after President Donald Trump announced that his long-promised US southern border wall would be "virtually impenetrable", an eight-year-old girl in South Carolina proved him wrong by scaling an 18-foot-tall replica within a minute.

The president, last month, in San Diego had announced that his plan for his signature border wall could result in a barrier spanning 400 miles and reaching up to 18 to 30 feet high in different areas and the barriers would be impossible to penetrate.

Lucy Hancock, however, proved Trump's claim wrong as she was seen climbing from the base of the border wall replica and swiftly reaching the top of it.

The video of the incredible moment was posted on Facebook by Lucy's mother, Karla, showing the eight-year-old scaling the structure all on her own without a rope, wearing only a belay, which is a safety tool used to catch a falling climber.

Lucy's mother, in the social media post, wrote that her daughter found the climbing simple: "Remember that border wall replica built by for a competition next weekend in the Red River Gorge? We were able to help perform preliminary testing of the belay system this weekend. Lucy declared it an easy 5.7 with a tough dyno finish."

The border wall replica was reportedly constructed by Rick Weber, co-founder of the Muir Valley rock climbing park in Rogers, Kentucky. Weber said that he constructed the replica as a challenge to Trump's claim.

He relied on the wall's official dimensions as well as recent images of the structure, according to Time. "You don't tell a bonafide rock climber something's impossible to climb," he told the outlet.

This weekend, Weber is planning to invite climbers attending the “Rocktoberfest” rock climbing festival at the nearby Red River Gorge canyon system in Kentucky to climb the model.

Guests will be challenged to compete to climb up and over the wall in the fastest time. Reports stated that an adult has already completed the task within 40 seconds.
