The 2021 US Presidential Inauguration is just around the corner, coming up on January 20, and the chance to witness the historic 59th Inauguration with a number of added benefits is available on a number of sites. Here is the breakdown of the cost to watch the inauguration along with a stay for 3 nights in premiere hotels.
According to The Presidential Inaugural Committee, the 59th inauguration will be held virtually with in-person attendance strictly the members of congress and a guest. Along with the swearing-in ceremony, there are multitudes of events including the official parade, official Presidential Inaugural Committee ball, and more. Ticket prices for the events will vary depending on the standing area of the swearing-in ceremony.
What is the cost?
The ticket prices to witness the 46th president’s inauguration will vary according to sites but the average cost comes down to $750 for only the tickets. To avail a stay for three nights at a four-star hotel, in the Melrose DC, near the subway and DC attractions will cost $2995 for single occupancy, $1875 for double occupancy, and $1575 for quad occupancy.
According to mybucketlistevents, the inauguration tickets will comprise of a few special benefits like staying at a luxury hotel for three nights, ticket for Swearing-In Ceremony in the Silver Mall Standing area which can be upgraded to Union Square for $200 per person or North/South/West standing for $750 per person, inauguration gift package, daily breakfast, an opportunity to add tickets for an official Presidential Inaugural Committee ball that President attends plus on-site support from Inauguration experts.
On the first day of these special tickets, visitors can explore an array of historical landmarks of the nation’s capital including the museums and more.
On the day of the presidential inauguration, visitors can witness the historical event of President-elect Mr Biden and Vice President-elect Ms Harris taking oath from various places including union square, North, South, West and seated arrangements. After the oath-taking ceremony, Mr. Biden will be addressing the nation in an inaugural speech followed by musical performances of Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez.
The president and the vice president will also lead the official parade next approximately 1.5 miles from the Capitol to the White House. According to the officials, the parade will be a unique event this year where “The parade will celebrate America’s heroes, highlight Americans from all walks of life in different states and regions, and reflect on the diversity, heritage, and resilience of the country as we begin a new American era,” the Independent reported.
The Presidential Inauguration Committee will arrange two to nine balls where POTUS will reportedly make an appearance. A number of artists including Foo Fighters, John Legend, and Bruce Springsteen, Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, Ant Clemons, and Jon Bon Jovi are reportedly going to perform in some of these exclusive events.
