15-month-old baby dies two days after hospital sent her back even though parents feared she had sepsis
Evie Crandle died of sepsis last April aged 15 months despite her parents Samantha and Phil raising alarms and both asking doctors 'could this be sepsis?'
A 15-month-old baby who was misdiagnosed and sent home from the hospital with Ibuprofen and Calpol died from sepsis just two days later.
On April 14, 2018, Samantha McNeice and Phil Crandle took their baby Evie to Whiston Hospital before she died two days later, Daily Mail reports.
Their "beautiful" baby daughter had been "let down in the worst possible way" by medical staff, the devastated couple told an inquest on Monday, January 28. Samantha said in a heartbreaking statement that she was "broken beyond repair."
