Amy Slaton accuses ex-husband Michael Halterman of 'hitting' and 'mistreating' children
Amy accused her estranged husband, Michael, of violent behavior toward children in an official court document. She stated, "When disciplining the boys he hits too hard. He pulls them by the arm," as per The Sun. She further accused Michael of "throwing things." The '1000-lb Sisters' star added "The night of February 24, he got mad that I went to take the kids with my sister to eat." Well, this was not it. Michael went to such an extent that he allegedly stopped giving money to Amy for taking care of her eight-months-old child. This made Amy file an emergency protection order for herself and her children on February 28 after claiming, "He (Michael) makes me do everything with the house, boys, and has no job."
Michael Halterman to have 'supervised contact' with their children
After Amy filed for an emergency protection order, it was amended by the court on March 8. Michael was then allowed by the court to have "supervised contact" with the children. The memo from the court stated that Michael's contact with the children should be under the supervision of Amy and her sister under no "physical discipline."
The filing of emergency protection was done four days after making the 911 call against Michael's "violence" at home. Michael was reported to have landed in a heated altercation with Amy on February 24. After the feud, it was reported that Amy wanted to walk away from the marriage, but Michael was wanting the opposite. But, later on, March 13, Michael filed for the dissolution of marriage in Kentucky court.
