'1000-lb Sisters': Tammy leaves house for first time in 6 years but feels conscious what people might think
Tammy and Amy have a hard time managing their weight but the sisters know that it is time for them to take charge. But the only way to go about it is for them to take control of their eating habits while making sure they do some amount of physical activity. This leads them to think about undergoing a weight loss surgery. But before doing this, they knew that had to talk to their mother about it.
Tammy and Amy decide to meet their mother at a restaurant but this meant that Tammy would have to get out of the house. Tammy is unable to do day-to-day activities and needs help from Amy, which made it hard for her to get out of the house much. However, she knew that it was important to talk to their mother and this led her to decide to finally step out.
Tammy was helped with Amy and her husband, Michael to get into a car. The sisters finally arrive at the restaurant and Tammy has to make an effort to enter the restaurant. She finds it hard to make it through and finds herself breathing heavily and unable to go any further. Luckily, Tammy finds her mother sitting close to the entrance, which gives her the motivation to make her way to the table.
While Tammy can reach the table and take a seat, she confesses about the feeling of insecurity that was taking over her. Speaking to the camera, Tammy confessed that she can see people staring at her, which often made her feel that they were looking through her soul. She grew conscious about what people thought and how they looked at her and Amy differently.
Despite this, Tammy decided to tell her mother that she was ready to change her life. Amy added that she would do the same. However, their mother found it hard to believe and seemed discouraging. The sisters took it upon themselves to prove their mother wrong and decided to start their weight loss journey.
