Amy Slaton had been working hard to lose weight and her efforts have finally paid off. In today's episode of '1000-lb Sisters', the day arrives when Amy has to undergo her weight loss surgery. Amy had been working really hard along with her sister, Tammy Slaton, to get approved for the surgery.

While Amy got approved, Tammy didn't. However, she was not letting this stop her from forgetting what her goal was. Amy decided to undergo the surgery even though Tammy couldn't. Even though she was happy to be a step closer to having a healthy life, Amy was taken over by emotions as she broke down crying ahead of the surgery.

Amy felt scared and worried about what would happen if the surgery went bad. She decided to call Tammy to make herself feel better. Luckily for her, her sister was able to make her laugh but one person that she really missed in the room was her mother.

Amy confessed that she wanted her mother with her. Looking at how upset Amy was, Tammy asked her to stay strong and focus on the people who were there for her. Michael, Amy's husband, also showed his support by hugging her and ensuring that everything would be fine.

Hearing these words of encouragement, Amy felt motivated and positive about undergoing the surgery. Fortunately, the surgery was successful and Amy was advised to stick to a liquid diet for two weeks.

One week after the surgery, she decided to meet Dr Charles Procter and admitted that she had some slip-ups. Dr Procter stated that he was disappointed and wanted Amy to be serious about the surgery.

Amy agreed and decided to work on losing weight and stay motivated. Hoping that Amy would live by her words, Dr Procter allowed her to go back home where her family was waiting to meet her.

Two months after the surgery, Amy decided to meet her family and show her weight loss. The entire family comes together as she welcomes them to her new house and the family feels happy to see how Tammy has also changed but the one they were really waiting to see was Amy.

Once Amy entered the house, everyone was shocked and surprised to see the change as they cheered for her and the weight she had lost. Amy revealed she weighed 306lbs and had lost 100lbs. To add to this exciting news, Amy found out that she would be able to have a child if she lost some more weight. Meanwhile, her family was happy that Amy worked her way to losing weight.

'1000-lb Sisters' airs on Wednesdays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
