Some of the top fashion trends are no longer made by experts or fashionistas. They are made on social media platforms, TikTok being one of the top ones. The latest trend to create ripples on the social media platform is "noodle hair," which is a fun hairstyle that everyone can achieve and experiment with.

Although TikTok has been making headlines for all kinds of dangerous challenges lately, this latest trend is all about creating a new look for yourself and your friends with only the risk of your parent's disapproval. And just like the milk crane challenge or the adult swim trend, the "noodle hair" trend has gone viral, with an increasing number of users trying their hand at it. Both men and women can try the trend.

What is the noodle hair trend?

The "noodle hair" trend is so-called because, at the end of it, your hair comes out looking like a pack of uncooked noodles. To put it simply, the hairstyle features tight curls that are hard to miss. This is not a new hairstyle that has been invented out of thin hair. Celebrities like soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo and singer Taylor Swift have been rocking this look for decades. If anything, the hairstyle is currently making a comeback on Twitter.

One of the times the hairstyle became popular was when Ronaldo played for Manchester United last year. Fans of the athlete went gaga over the look and people from all over the world wanted to try out the look. Many even tried to recreate it. Another time was the 'All Too Well' singer's pre-bangs look when her hair was longer and super-curly. Her bond curls formed part of Swift's signature look during her 'Love Story' and 'You Belong With Me' days more than a decade ago. Since then, she has tried out several styles and currently settled on blonde bangs. Justin Timberlake also famously rocked a similar hairdo but he eventually replaced it with a buzz cut.

How to achieve the 'noodle hair' look?

The sure-shot way to achieve the "noodle hair" look is to simply be to head to a salon and request it from a professional. However, if you want to achieve it at home by a DIY method, you can use a curling iron to do so. However, there are no guarantees that those methods would actually work.

However, there is also a more natural method to get the look without using heat. For this purpose, one needs to split one's wet hair into segments and tie it using a cloth. The hair needs to be left for a couple of hours or overnight for better results in order for it to dry. Once the cloth is removed, the hair would appear to be curled up. While the technique has been tried by name, not everyone has been able to achieve the "noodle hair" look successfully through this method.
