Prince George looks just like dad Prince William in new birthday pictures: 'You look more like your dad every day!'
The Kensington Palace has released three new pictures of the adorable Prince George who turned six on July 22. The stunning pictures of George were taken by none other than his mother, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.
It has become a tradition for the Palace to release pictures of her three children that Kate has taken herself. On Sunday, Kensington Palace took to Twitter to share a picture of Prince George on a family vacation. They captioned the image, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share new photographs of Prince George to mark His Royal Highness's sixth birthday."
As soon as the pictures hit the internet, fans and followers were unable to get over how similar Prince George looked to his father Prince William.
In the first picture, George can be seen sporting an England football shirt while lying playfully in the garden in his London home in Kensington Palace. The second picture of Prince George shows him in the same shirt smiling at the camera. The third picture shows the future king outdoors outside a leafy backdrop while sporting blue and white striped shorts and a green polo shirt.
Fans took to social media to gush about the similarity. One fan shared, "Wow, he looks exactly like his dad!" while another commented, "You look more like your dad every day!'"
When William was 6, pictures show his serious side while he attended events such as Trooping the Colour with his parents Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Other pictures show his more playful side. Like his father, Prince George has been photographed looking serious and pensive as compared to his siblings.
Kensington Palace confirmed that all the pictures were taken by Kate Middleton in the gardens of Kensington Palace.
Prince George Alexander Louis was born in July 2013 at the St. Mary's Hospital in London and is the oldest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton. His first media appearance took place only hours after he was born while Kate posed with him on the steps of the hospital's private Lindo Wing. Prince George is third in line to the British throne after his father and his grandfather, Prince Charles, Prince of Wales. If Prince George becomes King, he will be the 43rd monarch since William the Conqueror.
Prince George was recently seen with his siblings — Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at the Billingbear Polo Club in Berkshire. This was the first time that the children were seen interacting with their recently born cousin, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor - the first child of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Prince George currently attends Thomas's Battersea school in south London and has just finished year one. In September, he will be moving into year two, the final year of the Lower School before he moves into the Middle School.
