Megyn Kelly accuses Gavin Newsom of using ‘middle school debate tactics’ during Fox News face-off with Ron DeSantis
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former Fox News and NBC star Megyn Kelly recently slammed California Governor Gavin Newsom for his underpar performance in the Red State vs Blue State Debate against Ron DeSantis on Fox News.
The veteran journalist found Newson “annoying” and called him out for continuously “interrupting” DeSantis without any substantial thing to say.
Kelly admitted that Newsom had “no dignity” and took cheap shots at DeSantis while the Florida governor came prepared to the Fox News debate and made critical statements that damaged Newsom.

The 52-year-old invited Newt Gingrich, author of 'March to the Majority', to discuss the debate between DeSantis and Newsom.
Before she sought Gingrich’s opinion, Kelly told her viewers, “Gavin Newsom is so annoying to me. He just kept interrupting. He was dying to show that he was a tough guy which is a note to all men that if you’re instincts are how tough you are, don’t do it”
Kelly praised DeSantis’ performance on the night and said, “DeSantis was measured, scoring a lot of points but I wound up thinking that anybody could win against this guy Newsom because he’s unlikable”
Even Gingrich remarked that he found Newsom completely “off-putting”, forcing Kelly to remark, “He had no dignity. There was no dignity”
She continued, “Newsom looked like a man desperate for attention and whenever DeSantis was scoring points on him, he would interrupt over and over to try and talk over the points. That’s like a middle school debate tactic which is pathetic and not effective”
Kelly later praised DeSantis for doing his “homework” about many problems in Newsom’s home state of California before coming into the debate and critiqued Newsom for sounding almost the same throughout the night.
