WASHINGTON, DC: While eulogizing former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, John Oliver did not let the chance pass to comment on the political demise of George Santos.

Terming Santos’ ouster as “a sort of reverse-Beetlejuice situation,” Oliver asked the Bravo host and the executive producer of ‘Real Housewives’ franchise Andy Cohen to give the fallen Congressman a chance on his television show.

‘He spent campaign funds vibing out on diva sh*t’

During the latest episode of ‘Last Week Tonight’, comedian and host John Oliver weighed in on why Congress took so long to facilitate the expulsion of George Santos, the former representative from New York.

He said during the Sunday, December 3 episode, “Apparently it takes three tries to get rid of him—a sort of reverse-Beetlejuice situation, if you will.”

On Friday, December 1, the House voted in favor of expelling the Republican Congressman with a 311-114 majority after he was accused of violating Ethics Committee rules.

Referring to the House Ethics Committee investigative report that alleged the 35-year-old former representative misappropriated public funds to get Botox treatments, go on vacations, and subscribe to adult content websites, Oliver said, “But I have to say, if you’re going to do something you’re not supposed to do, that is the way to f**king to do it!”

He added, “Looking good. Going out. And getting off on gig economy p*rn?”

Oliver continued, “How am I supposed to be mad? He spent campaign funds vibing out on diva sh*t,” per Daily Beast.

Further referring to the opposition research titled The George Santos Vulnerability Report, commissioned by Santos himself, Oliver alleged, “Even the cover was damning,” before adding, “It’s a photo that says ‘Opening for Sebastian Maniscalco,’ or ‘I faked my own death for the insurance money: A TED Talk.’”

‘This man never belonged in Congress’

Santos' short-lived Congress career was often embroiled in controversies including faking his resume, claiming his mother’s death in 9/11, and carrying a baby inside the Congress, among others.

Oliver went on, "Just think of everything he packed in during his brief time on the national stage, like when he implied that his young niece had been kidnapped from a playground in Queens, possibly in retaliation for his comments about China. Or the '9/11 claimed my mother's life,' even though she wasn't even in New York at the time. That kind of messiness isn't just 'friends of' behavior, it's full-on Housewife!" per Raw Story.

After quickly reminding his audience of a few of Santos’ many controversies, Oliver declared, “The truth is: This man never belonged in Congress. He belongs on Bravo.”

He continued, “Santos clearly didn’t deliver for his constituents, but he delivered hard for the rest of us. And I don’t want him to be in my government.”

He also wished that he could see George Santos in Andy Cohen’s reality show, saying, “And I don’t want to sit next to him on an airplane. But I definitely want him in Andy Cohen’s menagerie of damaged human beings.”

Oliver then begged Cohen virtually saying, “Call this man now, Cohen! And pay him what he is worth.”
