'Zip it': Jason and Brittany Aldean take dig at Maren Morris and woke Left in Halloween video
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Country star Jason Aldean and wife Brittany Aldean subtly attacked Maren Morris and the Left in their latest video on Instagram. The husband-wife duo transformed themselves as fictional anchors Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone Ron Burgundy from iconic 2004 comedy movie 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy' for their Halloween performance on social media.
The clip was shared on Monday, October 31, on the 45-year-old country star’s Instagram account. The pair were seen pretending to read news from ‘Channel 4 News’ from ‘Nash Vegas’. They appeared to make fun of themselves but apparently, they were trolling Morris and the Left after a transgenderism controversy involving Brittany in August. Jason as Ron Burgundy said, “Good evening Nash Vegas and welcome to Channel 4 News. And we are here to bring you the news as always cause you know we are 80% of the time unbiased 100% of the time.”

His 33-year-old wife then shared, “In our most unbiased story of the evening, tonight we tell a tale of a wannabe country artist and his wife, Brittany and Jason Aldean. According to Brittany’s recent tweet she hates all animals. Based on the tweet that says, I love dogs. Sounds like a PR nightmare.”
“Now most of you may not know who Brittany and Jason Aldean are. But if you like to Google, you could potentially find them on page five or six,” she stated before Jason added, “I actually found them on page 13, her and her bush-league country music artist of a husband just need to zip it.” The ‘You Make It Easy’ singer also remarked, “Stay country Nashville,” as Brittany sarcastically added, “Stay woke everyone.”
The social media share has attracted a lot of views and comments with a user saying, “While I don't believe in your political opinions I do think you are decent people and this was funny as f.ck. if we all had the same opinion life would be so boring.” Another user wrote, “Lol Jason Aldean looks and sounds exactly like Danny McBride and now I’ll never be able to unsee it.”
“This was hilarious 😂! Y’all are killing it with Halloween Costumes 🙌,” the third user said and the fourth one added, “Love this & love that you guys laugh at the medias depiction of you! Keep it up, love you both! ❤️”
This came after Morris called out Brittany after she in an August Instagram clip in promotion of her new clothing line, Don’t Tread On Our Kids, said, "I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life🤎✌🏼.” Jason also agreed with his wife and shared, “Lmao!! I’m glad they didn’t too, cause you and I wouldn’t have worked out.”

But not everyone seemed happy with the pair and the 32-year-old singer-songwriter had then tweeted, “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.” Brittany, however, instead of saying sorry, in a statement noted, “Per usual, my words have been taken out of context over the last week. Instead of getting twisted about the twisting of my words, I’ve chosen to bring some good out of it.”
