WASHINGTON, D.C.: On November 30, at a Washington DC holiday party, a Republican congressman was captured on video threatening a former staffer with a barrage of expletives.

Representative Brandon Williams, a Texas-born businessman and farmer, who represents the 22nd congressional district of New York, was observed during his outburst, pointing his finger at Michael Gordon, his former campaign manager, during the event held at the International Spy Museum hosted by a lobbying firm called BGR Group.

As Gordon meekly dissents to his tirade, Rep Williams yells at him: “You f*** with my family, I’ll end every relationship you have.”

The former employee of the GOP congressman continues objecting to any wrongdoing as his old boss squares up to him still shouting.

The 56-year-old New York politician rambled on, “Do you understand me? You think I don’t know?”

What happened in the aftermath of the heated exchange?

Seeing Rep Williams this animated, a woman interrupted saying, “Excuse me? Hello?”

Williams, who appears to be aware of the scene he created in public, steps back from addressing Gordon and forcibly shoves the camera that filmed the situation.

The congressman walked out, saying, “Hey, why don’t you get the police in?”

The Daily Mail reported that a spokesperson for the congressman stated that the dispute arose due to the actions of Gordon and another former employee.

The spokesperson explained that these individuals were terminated earlier this year as they had made negative comments about female members of Williams' family.

“What you are seeing is two former staffers who were fired by the congressman earlier this year,” they said.

“Both individuals, the one being confronted by the Congressman and the one filming, made rude comments about the female members of the congressman’s family.

“These individuals planted stories with the media and one of them physically shoved the congressman at a holiday event (edited from the video).

“As a former nuclear submarine officer known for his temperament and poise, tonight should be a lesson to all, never go after this Navy Nuke’s family,” the statement concluded.

Internet is aghast at the behavior of an elected people’s representative.

It goes without saying that the images of a man in authority belittling a previous employee were not received positively by the online community.

Despite the statement from the congressman's spokesperson, many users criticized Williams for his rude conduct and the threats he made during his outburst.

One X user said, "How Congressional of him."

Another user wrote, "I feel like this is probably how most politicians talk to people when they don't know they are being recorded. . ."

"What a psycho," declared a user.

One user observed, "Anyone else remember when this kind of thing ended political careers? Now it seems to happen daily."

Another user said, "This guy is my rep and he is awful."

"The real Brandon Williams. Playing the threatening tough guy and voting against Central New Yorkers's interests. I can't wait to vote him out in my district. #NY22," remarked a user.

One user questioned, "This man is an abomination, he's a millionaire carpet bagger from Texas that doesn't even live in our district, the one he represents. He pulled the wool over CNY citizens. Why do vote for someone like this?"

"Nothing says Happy Holidays at a charity event like a confrontation like this," one user quipped.
