MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE: Kayla Montgomery, the stepmother of a missing New Hampshire girl, Harmony Montgomery, 5, who is believed to be dead, will enter a plea to two charges of perjury as part of a bargain she made with the prosecution to possibly help them nail her estranged husband and father of Harmony, Adam Montgomery. She also signed a sentencing addendum that states she will now fully cooperate with New Hampshire authorities in any proceeding.

According to reports, as part of Montgomery's plea agreement, she also agreed to serve time in prison and participate in other state cases, such as giving evidence in Harmony's father, Adam Montgomery's second-degree murder trial. She is accused of claiming that Harmony was still a member of her household, even though the girl was not living with her and Adam at the time. It's believed that Harmony went missing between November 28 and December 10, 2019, but police did not learn of her disappearance for more than two years.

Mystery of dead 12-yr-old found in suitcase deepens with eerie 0 and 1 placed on her

When Kayla Montgomery, was first arrested in June for prejury, she told court that  Adam Montgomery was the one who killed their daughter. Harmony had lived in Massachusetts with her biological mother, Crystal Sorey after she lost the custody in 2018, and then in foster care before being placed in her father’s custody in 2019. The reports and court records also suggest that Kayla Montgomery was asked multiple times by Adam Montgomery to lie about Harmony's location. Adam was charged with the murder of his daughter in October.

Kayla has also signed a sentencing addendum that states she will now fully cooperate with New Hampshire authorities in any proceeding, as per a report in WCVB. Kayla Montgomery will face consecutive sentences of three and a half to seven years under the conditions of the agreement. However, five years of her minimum sentence will be suspended unless she violates the conditions of the arrangement.

Reports quoting law enforcement and other officials say, Harmony Montgomery, 5 years old, was killed in early December 2019 by father, Adam Montgomery by repeatedly beating her on the head with a clinched hand. Officials also stated that Adam attempted to persuade Kayla Montgomery to fabricate testimony between 2019 and 2022.
