LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hulu's latest release 'Clipped' made quite a buzz among fans of the sports genre this summer. The six-part miniseries revolves around the infamous 2014 incident surrounding former LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling that led to his lifetime ban from the NBA.

Instead of focusing on Clippers's game on the court, it sheds light on the inner turmoil of players amid the scandal.

As 'Clipped' reaches a conclusion a month after its premiere on June 4, 2024, here are similar sports dramas to fill the void of the FX series:

1. Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty (2022)

If you loved watching the exploration of real events in 'Clipped', we suggest you immediately add 'Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty' to your watch list.

Consisting of two seasons, the series is inspired by the golden era of Lakers in the 80s while majorly focusing on the professional and personal lives of talented players.

However, you must note that the series is not biographical in nature and has taken several creative liberties to make it engaging.

If you neglect the factual inconsistencies in the storyline, you'll enjoy this sports drama available on Prime Video, Hulu, and Max.

2. Swagger (2021)

The critically acclaimed series is loved for its writing, social commentary, and compelling performances by O'Shea Jackson Jr and Isaiah Hill.

'Big Shot' is also based on basketball, but has no resemblance to real events. It follows the story of basketball coach Marvyn Korn (played by John Stamos), who is fired from his job at the University and takes up a job at an elite high school for girls to coach a girls' basketball team.

'Big Shot' premiered on Disney+ in April 2021, followed by Season 2's arrival in October 2022.
