While audiences really have admired Teeter, there are a lot of things that intrigue them about her - mostly, why does she talk like that?

Jennifer Landon cannot tell us if her character Teeter is alive or dead on 'Yellowstone'. Following a very brutal attack on her in the last episode at the hands of Wade Morrow (Boots Southerland), where he stomped on her with a horse, audiences were left wondering if she was alive at all.

But in an interview with MEAWW (MEA WorldWide), she is wary of giving away too much information, one too many spoilers. But that doesn't keep her from telling us more about her character Teeter.

There is little doubt that Teeter is an eccentric woman, an enigma. Very little is known about her especially since she is a new addition to the Dutton ranch this season. But it didn't take her any time at all to fit in at the ranch and/or in the bunkhouse. Almost as if the place is made for her. This is even more intriguing since the genre that 'Yellowstone' belongs to is pretty much male-dominated. Teeter is among the few additions of strong female leads in the cast this season. The actress credits that to Taylor Sheridan, the creator of the hit Paramount show.

"I knew that Taylor was gonna write a great thing with Teeter," she tells us. Working with the other new additions to the cast, Karen Pittman's Willa Hayes and Q'orianka Kilcher's Angela Blue Thunder, was the other upside of playing Teeter on the show. "I didn't get to work with them and it was so exciting and awesome." She explains her character via Taylor's vision. "What I love about the way Taylor writes, at least for me [my character] is that while the characters are absolutely female, they're not defined by their femaleness."

While audiences really have admired Teeter, there are a lot of things that intrigue them about her - mostly, why does she talk like that? There is a running gag on the show that no one can quite understand what Teeter says. When she had first arrived on the ranch, she had left a lot of ranchers, cowboys and many among the audience confused. The actress tells us that this in fact was written in the script and not an improvisation on her end.

"Taylor writes all of Teeter's dialogues phonetically, so there really isn't room, thankfully, for interpretation on my part. I got to hit those vowel sounds the way he's written it."

This season also has a lot of romance. Teeter has her eyes set on Colby (Denim Richards). "I'm pretty sure Colby is pretty horrified by Teeter," she begins with a chuckle. Elaborating on the dynamic the two share, she says, "Teeter was very interested in Colby. So when I saw that Taylor wrote that I was just stunned that he and I were both seeing it the same way. Teeter likes to ruffle feathers and she's decided that Colby is somebody who needs his feathers, ruffled. Also, he's gorgeous."

The actress adds that the two have this ongoing attraction towards each other because "they're both experienced being outsiders, you know, in their life". "Teeter exists in a man's world. She's an outsider by nature of the fact that she's female. Colby is an outsider in many ways as a cowboy by the nature of the fact that he's a black man. And it's not something that I've [seen]. I've rarely seen Teeter or Colby in the Hollywood portrayal of cowboy."

'Yellowstone' airs on Sundays at 9 pm ET /PT on Paramount Network.
