Will there be 'Uncharted 2'? Post-credits scenes hints Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg's return
Contains spoilers for 'Uncharted'
'Uncharted' ends with a bang and promises more of it just before the end credits roll. The Sony-produced introduction film starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg may have aggregated a paltry 40% score on Rotten Tomatoes with a relatively better 47% on Metacritic, but it surely does enough to please the audience. It does appear that there are plans to develop 'Uncharted' into a full-fledged franchise and with a fifth game of the series underway, the production giant will surely look to capitalize on the moolah it's raked in with the origin tale.
Although director Ruben Fleischer in a conversation with Screen Rant said the possibility of a second movie hinged on the success of the first. "It depends on the success of the movie," Ruben humorously said. "No, yeah, of course. I have thoughts on it. When you sit in an editing room for a year working on a movie, it's hard not to dream up other adventures to take these guys on. So yeah, if we're lucky enough to get to make a sequel, I have a lot of ideas for things that I personally would want to try."

'Uncharted' Mid and Post-credits scene explained: A sequel is in the offing
The two post-credits scenes all but confirm a potential sequel. The first one shows a character who the audience will identify as Sam Drake, Nathan's brother writing a postcard from prison. This could be borrowed from the fourth game, 'A Thief's End' that shows Sam spending some years in a Panama prison. The second credits scene is a lot stronger and ties to what could be the storyline of the sequel. Nathan is seen talking to a man associated with Gabriel Roman who is a character from 'Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune'.
The two make a trade-off where Roman gives a map to Nate in exchange for the family ring. The heirloom is identified as the ring of his ancestor Sir Francis Drake, who Sam mentions in the movie. The post-credits scene reveals that tit contains coordinates to El Dorado. Sully then barges in on the trade and flees with Nate setting up the sequel.
