Matt James, the 29-year-old 'The Bachelor' lead of Season 25 just revealed some shocking information about his romantic life at the 'Women Tell All' special that aired on Monday (March 1) night. Matt is extremely easy on the eyes and has been branded as one of the best Bachelor leads that the show has cast over the years. However, even the best of them are flawed and Matt was no different. 

Ever since the current season started airing, Matt was being roasted on Twitter. The reason for this was him weirdly staring down at the women he was kissing on the show. While some people gave him the benefit of doubt earlier on, saying he only had his eyes open with people he didn't feel he had a connection with. However, it wasn't long before it was clear that his kissing was 'cringey' to watch.

Why does Matt James kiss with his eyes open?

Matt was confronted by Chris Harrison about his weird habit of kissing with his eyes open and in response, he joked about the importance of eye contact and that he just wanted to see the people he was locking lips with. However, realization prevailed and he understood that kissing with his eyes open was weird and that he would work on it going forward. 

Fans also got to see an unseen and deleted scene from the season where Matt confessed about leaving a girl's lips bleeding while in high school and fans speculated that could be one of the reasons Matt keeps his eyes open. He has been the butt of several jokes on the internet for this reason and his best friend and business partner Tyler Cameron too joined in on the fun at one point.
