As viewers stayed glued on to the screens of their TV, awaiting a new episode of 'Black-ish' Season 7 this week, something else kept the network occupied instead of the hilarious ABC sitcom. Soon it became obvious that the network had decided to allow the show to take a dip from its regular air time slot and sure enough, date stamps against the episodes for Season 7 will show there wasn't an episode listed for Wednesday, November 11. The reason, to many people's joy, but to the misfortune of 'Black-ish' fans were the Country Music Awards 2020.

The ceremony aired on the night of November 11, 2020, and took up the primetime TV slots for ABC, which usually airs 'Black-ish', 'The Conners', and the likes of it. But worry not, there's nothing to worry about the show's future because the upcoming week does have a brand new season 7 episode coming out titled 'Our Wedding Dre'. According to the official synopsis of the episode as provided by ABC, "Dre's intimate wedding plans for Pops and Ruby go awry when Pops' brother, Uncle Norman, shows up unexpectedly for the festivities; Ruby refuses Bow's offer to help with preparations."

Pleasing his mother can be hard, but now with intimate wedding plans falling apart, there's only so much Dre can do to keep peace and sanity intact. Let's add to that the presence of Uncle Norman and we all know how catastrophic that can be. The wedding has been in the plan for quite a while now, and although Danny Glover looks impeccable as Norman in the first looks from the episode teased by ET, the menace is surely lurking around the corner, whichever way the character breathes.

Luckily, all of this happens when Bow is back from tending to all her frontline duties she was delegating during the raging pandemic, or Dre tackling his mother's wedding gone wrong along with his four children would have been a sight to behold for the viewers. But that doesn't mean Ruby will make the wedding go any easier because she has to create troubles with Bow, who is only approaching her with help and remedying her crisis on her day. Hopefully this will burry the hatchet Ruby bears for Bow at all times, once and for all.

'Black-ih' Season 7 Episode 6 will air on November 18 at 9:30 pm on ABC.
