Melanie Jansen and Hannah Parmenter: Minnesota woman's partner kills her and daughter in murder-suicide
BREEZY POINT, MINNESOTA: In a shocking turn of events, a Minnesota woman and her daughter were murdered in an apparent murder-suicide at a resort.
According to authorities, 54-year-old Melanie Jansen, and her 29-year-old daughter Hannah Parmenter were fatally shot by Jansen's partner, Michael Toner.
The 56-year-old man then turned the gun on himself, reported People.
What led to the brutal murders of Melanie Jansen and Hannah Parmenter?
On September 5, Jansen's son and his wife found the three bodies at a lake resort named Breezy Point in central Minnesota.
The bodies of the three victims were spotted and identified by the son and his wife through a blood-stained window.
As per the autopsy report, both Jansen and her daughter had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, reported the Associated Press.
The alleged killer Toner and the victim Jansen were residents of Maple Grove, a suburb of the Twin Cities. Parmenter lived in Elk River.

Issuing a statement to FOX 9, Jansen and Parmenter's family's representative stated, "Melanie and her daughter Hannah touched many lives with their kindness and generosity."
"They were loved by many and due to an unthinkable tragedy, the world has lost, but Heaven gained two beautiful souls," read the statement.
"Hannah leaves behind a loving husband, Jason, as well as a wonderful father, Daniel. Melanie and Hannah leave behind a kind son and brother, Austin, and his just as kind wife, Veronica, along with many close family and friends."
"The family asks for space and time to grieve their loved ones and appreciates all the thoughts and prayers. At this moment, we have no comment regarding the other party involved in this," the statement concluded.
A motive behind the horrifying deaths of the two women still remains unclear.
GoFundMe set up for the family of Melanie Jansen and Hannah Parmenter
Following the tragic death of Parmenter and Jansen, a friend of Parmenter set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the victim's family.
As of Monday, the page has raised over $8,300. In the description of the fundraiser, the organizer wrote that Jansen and Parmenter shared a home business together.
The organizer also wrote that the 56-year-old victim was a hairstylist for over 30 years while her daughter worked as an esthetician.
"For those of you who knew Melanie and Hannah, you knew that the words that easily defined them were kind, generous, selfless, and genuine," read the description.
"And if you knew them, you also knew how passionate they were about caring for people," the organizer added.
