WAYNE COUNTY, TENNESSEE: Two days after the authorities in Middle Tennessee initiated a search for a missing teenager, they have reported the discovery of his lifeless body in Mississippi.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office had initially alerted the public about the disappearance of 17-year-old Hunter Carroll on Friday, October 20.

While the circumstances surrounding Carroll's vanishing were not disclosed, it was mentioned that he might have been operating a red 1992 Chevy pickup with aluminum wheels.
Then, in the early hours of Sunday, October 22, Wayne County officials were informed by the Saltillo, Mississippi police department that Hunter Carroll had been located, but that the situation had turned into a death investigation.
In a statement on Facebook, Wayne County Sheriff Shane Fisher announced the death of the teenager and acknowledged the grief his family members were under. “Sheriff Shane Fisher extends his condolences to the Carroll family as they endure this tragedy,” the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office wrote.

Meanwhile, the Wayne County High School expressed its profound sadness and condolences on Facebook.
"WCHS Wildcat Nation is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our beloved Senior, Hunter Carroll. Hunter was loved by all. He had a smile and a personality that was contagious," the school's touching post read.
"With a heavy heart, we would like to express our condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers of Hunter. We ask that you please keep Hunter’s family, classmates, and WCHS in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time," the tribute added.
