LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Police have identified the woman who was discovered dead inside her suspected murderer's room in South Los Angeles by his horrified mother. However, there are still many unanswered questions regarding the gruesome homicide.
The deceased was identified by authorities as a Caucasian woman. According to the New York Post, it is not immediately known how or when she was killed.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office, the victim's name is Hannah Rachel Collins, 30. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office reported that she had just celebrated her birthday two weeks ago.
A distraught relative told the newspaper that Collins had only recently relocated from Mississippi to Los Angeles. According to her Facebook profile, Collins was born in Richland, Mississippi, and also resided there for a time.
In 2015, she announced her engagement on social media, but she didn't specify with whom. She also claimed on the profile that she had worked at a Smoothie King location and studied radiology at Holmes Community College.
According to the outlet, Collins called to check in with her family every week "like clockwork." She last spoke to them on August 7, just days after her 30th birthday.

Although the Los Angeles Police Department has not provided any additional information, the suspect in the killing has been identified as a 26-year-old Hispanic man.
Where is the suspect now?
As of Wednesday afternoon, the suspect was still at large. At the time of the discovery, the homeowner was unable to find her son. A homicide investigation was started by the Los Angeles Police Department, but no arrests have been made as of yet.

Around 1.15 am local time on Sunday, the suspect's mother entered his bedroom due to a "gas smell." To her horror, she found Collins' body wrapped in plastic.
The startled mother immediately dialed 911 to send paramedics to her home in South Central LA. When EMS arrived, they declared Collins dead.
Although an autopsy has been completed, the cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
When the horrifying discovery was made, the suspect was nowhere in sight. It's unclear how Collins knew the suspect or how long she had been in his bedroom.
One of Collins' family members confirmed to The New York Post that she had been discovered inside the South Los Angeles residence.
