Robertson died at the scene around 6.15 am. The FBI said that the raid was related to an investigation into Robertson’s online posts, where he expressed his intention to harm Biden and others. The FBI considered the threats were deemed to be ‘credible’.

"The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously," the FBI said in a statement as reported by the media outlet.

"In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI's Inspection Division. As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide."

‘I hear Biden is coming to Utah'

One of the posts that caught the attention of the authorities was dated August 7, where Robertson claimed that he was preparing to assassinate Biden during his visit to Utah.

He wrote, "I hear Biden is coming to Utah. Digging out my hold Ghille suit and cleaning the dust off the M24 sniper rifle," the complaint as per the outlet was a  "willful true threat to kill or cause injury to kill President Biden."

"‘Welcome Bafoon in Chief!," he added, using a pink and purple background with black letters. Biden was scheduled to arrive in Salt Lake City on Wednesday afternoon and stay overnight, Daily Mail reported.

Robertson also targeted New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who was leading the criminal probe into former President Donald Trump.

'I’ll be waiting in the courthouse parking garage'

In March, he posted, "I’ll be waiting in the courthouse parking garage with my suppressed Smith &Wesson M&P 9mm to smoke a radical fool prosecutor that should never have been elected."

"BYE, BYE, TO ANOTHER CORRUPT B______!!!" he concluded as per the Daily Mail report. The FBI began investigating Robertson in April and notified the US Secret Service in June.

On March 19, a special agent tried to talk to Robertson about his posts, but he refused to cooperate and told him to come back with a warrant. The FBI as per the publication said that it was reviewing the shooting incident involving its agents or task force members, as per its policy.
