Who was Catorreia Hutto? Florida twins, 5, found dead in home after mom, 31, jumps to her death from bridge
SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA: The Seminole County Sheriff's Office in Florida is investigating the death of a mother, Catorreia Hutto, 31, and her 5-year-old twins — Ahmed and Ava Jackson.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Dennis Lemma considered the case as an isolated murder-suicide after Hutto's body was pulled out of the St Johns River on Friday, October 20.

The department received an early Friday morning call from an eyewitness and responded immediately after it stated that he “saw a motorist stop their vehicle on the crest on the [SR-417] bridge.”
The caller also told officials that a person likely to be a woman reportedly exited the passenger window of her vehicle and jumped into the St Johns River in “what appeared to be an attempt at a suicide,” Lemma said.
As the deputies arrived at the scene, they saw “a woman that was floating,” Lemma said.
The officials requested the assistance of two nearby fishermen, one of them turned out to be an off-duty Seminole County firefighter, as per People.
The victim was identified as 31-year-old Catorreia Hutto, who would have been 32, in almost a week.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office on its social media page., “At approximately 8:45 a.m deputies received multiple calls from motorists who stated a woman got out of the passenger side of a car parked on the shoulder of the S.R 417 bridge and jumped into Lake Jesup."
The statement further read, “Upon arrival, deputies spotted the woman floating in the water and enlisted the assistance of boaters, one later determined to be an off-duty Seminole County Firefighter, to help recover the body. The woman was pronounced deceased on scene and identified as Catorreia Hutto, 31, of Sanford.”
Deputies investigating Hutto’s death found out about her two children and rushed to her home to check on them.
The officers after entering the house found children Ahmed and Ava, “who appeared at first to be sleeping.” They were later discovered to be deceased inside the home, Lemma said.
“After learning the woman’s identity, deputies discovered she had 5-year-old twins, who were not located in the woman’s car or the water,” the post on Facebook read.
It concluded, “Deputies subsequently responded to her home address and found the two children, Ahmad and Ava Jackson, deceased inside the house. The manner of death for the twins is unknown at this time, with no apparent signs of trauma, and is pending autopsy results. The investigation is open and ongoing at this time.”
