LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a murder case that shocked all of Michigan, Jane Bashara, 56, was brutally strangled to death. The investigation to apprehend the killer took some time.

Who killed Jane Bashara?
Joseph Gentz was identified as the murderer behind Jane's death. He first came forward to confess and report that he was the one who had killed her, but said he was made to do so by someone else. The conspirator was reported to be Bob, who was Gentz's employer as well.
Bob pleaded innocence when the allegations first came to light.
He had said then, "I think for my children, for my family, and yes, for me, I would like to know who is responsible and make them pay, to be punished within our legal system. It would mean a lot to me. It would bring closure to this whole thing, because, like my sister said, I have been named a person of interest and people have pointed the finger at me and all these different issues have come up.”
During the initial investigation, Bob's statement had turned out to be inconsistent when he was put through a polygraph test, but there was not much evidence to announce him as guilty.
The case stretched out over three years by when Bob was found guilty of Jane's murder and was imprisoned for life. It was reported that he had held Joseph at gunpoint and had also promised to pay him for killing his wife.
