Zoey Hutchinson says she ‘never thought’ she would get a ‘bullet’ in her leg

Speaking to ABC News just hours after Zoey Hutchinson was shot, she told the outlet that she “never thought I’d grow and get a bullet in my leg.”

She and her mother, who were at the Sparetime Recreation at the time of the deadly shooting, took cover from gunfire.

“Why? Why do people do this?” asked Hutchinson.

“I was more worried about, like, am I going to live? Am I going to make it out of here,” the 10-year-old said of the moment the gunman opened fire.

“When I turned around, I saw the shooter like right behind me,” said her mother, Meghan Hutchinson, told the outlet.

The mother and daughter hid with a few others in the bowling alley’s storage area.

Maine Governor Janet Mills says suspect Robert Card is still on the run

On Thursday, October 26, Maine Governor Janet Mills addressed the shooting and confirmed that 18 people died in the fatal incident and that Card, who is “armed and dangerous” is on the loose.

“This attack strikes at the very heart of who we are. This is a dark day for me,” said Mills.

Col William Ross of Maine State Police said there are eight murder warrants for cards, and he is expected to face 18 counts once all the dead victims are identified.

Father of bar manager convinced his son was fatally shot in the mass shooting

Speaking to NBC, Leroy Walker, the father of the bar manager at Schemengees, where the shooting took place, believes his son is among the fatally shot victims.

“And I don’t know, telling you the truth, what kind of night this is going to be from now until tomorrow when I wake up to the true facts that my son is dead — and I know he’s dead,” said Walker.

“I know it as well as I know I’m standing here telling you because he’s not here and he’s not at any other hospital, and he’s not running the streets, or he would have called us because he manages Schemengees, so I know he was there,” he told the outlet.
